Dial-Up Connection Set-Up for Windows XP << BACK

Step 1.

Click on Start button in the bottom left hand corner of your desktop
>> go to Settings >> Control Panel.

Step 2.

If you do not see Control Panel -
Click on Switch to Classic View. 

If you see your Control Panel -
go to the next step.

Step 3.

Double-click on Network Connections.

Step 4.

Click on Create a new connection.

Step 5.

Click Next.

Step 6.

Choose Connect to the Internet.

Click Next.

Step 7.

Choose Set up my connection manually.

Click Next.

Step 8.

Choose Connect using dial-up modem.

Click Next.

Step 9.

This is the name of your connection. We suggest to type Drytel.

Click Next.

Step 10.

Type in your local Drytel access number. It is 221-3638.

Click Next.

Step 11.

Type in your user name.

Example: jsmith

Type in your password. It is case sensitive so make sure your Caps Lock is off on the keyboard.

Retype your password again.

Uncheck Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection.

Click Next.

Step 12.

Click Finish.

Finished.

Congratulations! You will now notice you have a new icon on your desktop, use this icon to connect to the Internet.
